• As much as you can about ADHD by reading books and watching videos
  • As much as you can about possible accommodations that you can access at school
  • To advocate for your needs in the school system. When you advocate you ask your school to put the appropriate accommodations in place to assist you with your ADHD symptoms. This will allow you to do your best work.  Find a mentor at school that you can go to for assistance. This may be the special education teacher, another teacher, coach or someone in the office


  • To your parents, teachers and any other adults about your feelings and concerns about your ADHD
  • Let your parents and teachers know what type of things you find helpful in dealing with your ADHD
