Toronto District School Board funding cuts to support services – psychology staff

CADDRA and CADDAC respond to the Toronto District School Board’s Finance, Budget and Enrollment Committee regarding funding cuts to support services – psychology staff

In the last month, the Ontario Ministry of Education has cut $67 million in funding to the Toronto District School Board (TDSB). As a result, TDSB has reduced its psychology staff from 138 to 128. This reduction of staff will have negative impacts on the quality of education and level of support services for students living with ADHD.

CADDRA and CADDAC have responded to the Toronto District School Board (TDSB) stating the importance of having a suitable number of psychologists on staff to support the needs of students who have undiagnosed neurodevelopmental disorders and those who are diagnosed with ADHD.
